RIGGER – load tie down personnel and signalmen training

The participant is trained for safe performance of work tasks in processes of loading and unloading various loads. He acquires both duties of load tie down person and signalman. Two variations of the programme are offered – for operations workers and direct managers. According to the Labor Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia (letno poročilo IRSD-link) there were 2 fatalities caused by the load fall in 2018.

Programme for Operational Workers (4h):

THEORETICAL PART:

• Familiarizing a participant with working tasks of load tie down person and signalman;
• demonstrating dangers of lifting operations with lifts;
• qualification examination.

PRACTICAL PART:

• demonstration of safe use of auxiliary ancillary attachments (Civis Learning Center, indoor training ground);

Direct person program (7 hours):

THEORETICAL PART:

• Familiarizing participants with working of load tie down person’s and signalman’s tasks;
• demonstration of dangers of lifting operations with lifts;
• the responsibilities of decision makers,
• qualification examination.

PRACTICAL PART:

• demonstration of safe use of auxiliary ancillary attachments (Civis Learning Center, indoor training ground);

Cost of training – programme for operational workers: € 110.00 + VAT per participant

Cost of training – programme for immediate superiors: € 175.00 + VAT per participant

The price includes materials, taking qualification examination, a certificate of competence for working as load tie down person and signalman, and for the immediate superiors’ program, also a snack.

The trainings are carried out every third Friday in month, at the premises of Civis Learning Center on Tržaška cesta 65 in Maribor

The number of places in each training is limited.

If a non-sufficient number of candidates are applied for an announced training term, we reserve the right to cancel or change the term.
