The first training of coordinators for safety and health at work on construction sites

Anyone wishing to perform the duties of coordinator for safety and health at work on construction sites must, prior to taking a knowledge test at the Labour Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia, first complete the training (link) . Candidates are prepared in 6 days to take qualification examination. The performance of our candidates in the qualification examinations: more than 90%.

Decree on Occupational Safety and Health at Temporary and Mobile Construction Sites (Official Gazette 83/05) determines that, in case two or more contractors will execute work at a construction site, the customer or project supervisor must appoint one or more occupational health and safety coordinators at the construction site.

 

1.For the coordinator in the preparation phase of a project, the person nominated must have at least higher technical education, professional examination determined by the law governing the construction of facilities, or professional examination determined by the law governing safety and health at work, completed training in the Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator programme and at least three years of work experience in the design or execution of construction work.

A person employed by one of the implementing organizations cannot be appointed as a coordinator in the implementation phase.

Training description

The training lasts for 50 hours (usually after three working days in two consecutive weeks).

 

Condition for admission to the qualification examination, which is carried out at the Labour Inspectorate of Slovenia (link), is a passed professional exam in occupational safety and health. The first test of the coordinators’’ professional competence is carried out in front of expert commission at the Labour Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia.

Cost of training: € 760.00 + VAT per participant

 

The price includes materials, meals and snacks throughout the training days, as well as a certificate of participation at the training.

 

The trainings are carried out once a year, in autumn, at the premises of the Civis Learning Center on Tržaška cesta 65 in Maribor and at a selected construction site.

 

The number of places in each training is limited.

 

If a non-sufficient number of candidates are applied for an announced training term, we reserve the right to cancel or change the term
